The End Is Important In All Things - 29. April 2011!

Arctic Rodeo Recordings hat soeben den 29. April 2011 als Release-Termin für unser Debüt-Album bestätigt. Die News im Wortlaut:

"Jawoll, da kann ja bald mächtig drauflos gerumpelt werden! VS.ROME haben endlich ihr Debütalbum in den Startlöchern: "The End Is Important In All Things" wird am 29. April 2011 bei Arctic Rodeo erscheinen. Wer die vorab über uns veröffentlichte, limitierte Vinyl 7" mit dem Album Track "I'm Thinking: No!" sowie dem exklusiven Song "A Landslide" kennt, der weiß, dass da was Großes auf uns zukommt: Ein Indierock-Monster, auf dem zeitlose Musik zelebriert wird, die organisch und lebendig klingt, die offensiv, aber nicht überambitioniert rüberkommt. Ein Glück, dass die Jungs ein Biest dieser Größenordnung zu zähmen wissen. Die Wurzeln von VS.ROME liegen in einem Indie Sound, wie man ihn auf klassischen Labels wie Matador, Touch & Go und AmRep findet bzw. fand – eine ordentliche Noise-Wand, mit einer Prise Metal und einer Portion Hardcore versehen und markanten Hooklines als Topping. An den richtigen Stellen wird zudem der erforderliche Mut zur passenden Ruhe und Gelassenheit aufgebracht. Das funktioniert hervorragend. "The End Is Important In All Things" wird 10 Songs umfassen und auf CD sowie als limitierte LP+CD erscheinen. Aufgenommen wurde das Debütalbum der Dortmunder in Koblenz mit Kurt Ebelhäuser und in Berlin mit Tobias Siebert."

If you already own their limited 7" vinyl that we put out, containing the single "I'm Thinking: No!" and the exclusive non-album track "A Landslide", you know that something big is on its way: an indie-rock monster commemorating music that is timeless, organic and vivid, yet not sounding overambitious. Fortunately the guys know how to tame a beast of that size. VS.ROME's roots go back to the indie sound we know from classic labels such as Matador, Touch & Go and AmRep - a proper wall-of-noise with a slice of metal and a some hardcore - with distinctive hooklines as a topping.
